Other Ways to Give

Volunteer Your Time: 

At Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, our volunteers are an essential part of our hospice family. They provide comfort, companionship, support, and kindness to patients and families during some of life’s most meaningful moments.

Item Donations: 

We always welcome donations of items, but we are unable to accept certain items. Please view the list below to see items we always accept. 

If you would like to donate items that are not on the list below, please contact our Development Team at 704-873-4719, so we can see if your donation matches our current needs.  

Item donations requested:

  • Individually wrapped snacks or beverages for patient families
  • Unopened Ensure
  • Unopened adult pull-up briefs (all sizes)
  • New with tags nightgowns/pajamas and socks (all sizes)
  • New with tags sheets/comforters (twin XL fits a hospital bed)
  • New with tags throw blankets
  • Electric razors
  • Unopened body wash, shampoo, and conditioner
  • New with tags bath towels
  • Unopened waterproof bedding underpads
  • Unopened lip balm
  • Unopened toothbrushes and toothpaste

Many of these items will go to our Acts of Blessing Closet, started by one of our CNAs. This closet ensures that patients in need have the basic necessities they need, such as warm clothing and hygienic items. 

Drop-off instructions: Please drop off item donations on weekdays between 8am-5pm. 

  • Statesville: You can drop off items at our Statesville Office (2347 Simonton Rd), or at our Gordon Hospice House (2341 Simonton Rd). Please see a volunteer/staff member at the front desk for assistance.
  • Mooresville: You can drop off items at our S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House (1325 Mecklenburg Hwy). Please see a volunteer/staff member at the front desk for assistance.
