Current Employment Opportunities:
Associate Medical Director
- Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County is recruiting for a full time Physician to provide care to patients with advanced life-limiting illnesses in Iredell County and surrounding areas. Candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be well organized, self directed and comfortable with providing end-of-life care in a variety of settings. Time will be split between our inpatient units and homecare teams. Responsibilities include determination of hospice eligibility, pain and symptom management in end of life care, education and counseling for patients and families regarding disease progression and prognosis, completion of Advanced Care Directives, serving as an educational resource both within the organization and outside community and providing on call availability as per employment agreement.
Required Education and Experience: A Doctoral Degree in medicine (M.D. or D.O.) and current active NC Board of Medicine practicing physician license. A minimum of 2 years experience in the care of terminally ill patients, geriatric care or Hospice & Palliative Care Medicine is strongly preferred. Board certification in a medical specialty required with a strong preference for board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine. Computer proficiency is required.
Palliative Care Intake and Medical Records Navigator:
- A full-time (40 hour) palliative care intake and medical records position is available in our Statesville office. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of referral processing, documentation, and medical record management to support the delivery of timely, coordinated and compassionate palliative care services. Candidate should be flexible, able to multitask and have a good working knowledge of medical terminology and processes. A high school diploma is required; associate degree in health information management, healthcare administration or related field preferred. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm.
Inpatient Services Coordinator:
- We are seeking a compassionate coordinator to help lead our Hospice Inpatient Units (IPUs) located in Mooresville and Statesville. The Inpatient Services Coordinator supports the daily operations of the IPUs to ensure consistent, high quality, patient centered care. This position works closely with and reports to the Senior Director of Inpatient Services/Education and Assistant Director of IPU serving as a liasion between clinical staff, leadership and the education department. The coordinator assists in managing staff, scheduling, education and regulatory compliance. The coordinator will actively fill in staffing and perform patient admisssions for the IPUs as needed to maintain continuity of care. This role fosters a collaborative and supportive environment that reflects the hospice mission and values.
Qualifications include :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current RN license in NC
- Hospice and Palliative Care Experience preferred
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills: competence in clinical assessment and patient admissions; excellent communication, temawork, and problem-solving abilities; proficiency with EHR systems and schedulng software;knowledge of hospice regualtions and quality standards.
Social Worker:
- A full-time (40-hour) social worker position is available. MSW is required. Supervision may be provided for LCSW-A candidates as a part of that role. The role will be varied and could include home visits, phone visits, and facility visits.
- A full-time (40-hour) social worker position is available in our Palliative Care department. MSW required; LCSW or LCSW-A preferred. Supervision may be provided for LCSW-A candidates as a part of that role. The role will be varied and could include home visits, phone visits, and facility visits.
- A PRN social worker with our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, particularly in a hospice or end of life setting. Responsibilities include providing emotional support to patients and their families, helping them to navigate the challenges of terminal illness, and connecting them with community resources. The PRN social worker will work on an as needed basis, filling in for full time staff during vacations, weekends, sick days and/or busy periods. MSW is required.
Certified Nursing Assistants:
Candidates must hold a current license as a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) in the state of North Carolina. Home health/hospice and/or facility experience preferred. Two years of CNA experience preferred. Competitive hourly rate is available and a full-time benefit package is available for all full time roles.
CNA Homecare Openings:
- Full-time Certified Nurse Aide (2 positions available). Monday-Friday (40 hours) Holiday rotation required. Both positions will serve the Homecare patients in Statesville.
- PRN Certified Nurse Aide (As Needed). Position will serve the Homecare patients in Statesville and Mooresville.
CNA Inpatient Unit Openings:
- 2 Full-time Certified Nurse Aide positions- 36 hours weekly (8p-8a)
- Part-time Certified Nurse Aide position- 24 hours weekly. (8p-8a)
- Full-time Certified Nurse Assistant position- 36 hours per week (8a-8p)
- Part-time Certified Nurse Assistant position- 24 hours per week (8a-8p)
- PRN Certified Nurse Aide (As needed).
Registered Nurses:
Candidates must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Home health/hospice and/or facility experience preferred. Competitive hourly rate is available for part time and PRN positions. A benefit package is available for all full time roles. Two years experience as an RN preferred.
RN Homecare Openings:
- Full-time weekend on call nurse for Homecare covering Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 9am-9pm. This position is responsible for referrals, admissions and patient visits. Holiday rotation required.
- Full-time case manager position is available in our homecare deparment. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. On call and holiday rotation required.
RN Inpatient Unit Openings:
- Full-time RN position available in our inpatient units covering 36 hours/week 8am-8pm rotating every other weekend.
- Full-time RN position available in our inpatient units covering 36 hours/week 8pm-8am rotating every other weekend.
- Part-time RN position available in our inpatient unit covering 2 days 8am-8pm.
Housekeeper:
- Full-time float housekeeper needed for Mooresville and Statesville inpatient facilities.
Dietary:
- Full-time (40 hour) dietary aide needed for Mooresville and Statesville inpatient facilities.
