The professionals of Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County are charged with fulfilling our mission of helping our patients and their families meet their end-of-life goals. They are united in service by our core values of compassion, respect, integrity, teamwork and excellence. 

The populations of the communities we serve continues to grow as does the need for quality hospice and palliative care clinical and administrative professionals.  As a result, HPCIC is always recruiting full-time, part-time and PRN staff. Specific positions will be updated here as they become available, but we encourage you to complete the application so that your information is on file in our office.

We keep our applications for employment for at least 12 months, and when positions are added or become open, we pull from our current applications first to fill those positions.

Certified Nursing Assistant

Candidates must hold a current license as a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) in the state of North Carolina.  Home health/hospice and/or facility experience preferred.  Two years of CNA experience preferred.   Competitive hourly rate is available and a full-time benefit package is available for all full time roles.

Current Openings: 

  • PRN Certified Nurse Aide (As Needed). Position will serve the Homecare patients in Statesville and Mooresville.
  • Part-Time Certified Nurse Aide (24 hours) covering nights 8pm - 8am serving the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
  • Part-Time Certified Nurse Aide (24 hours) covering every Friday and Saturday 8pm - 8am serving the S. Mitchell Mack House in Mooresville.
  • Part-Time Certified Nurse Aide (24 hours).  Position will serve Homecare patients in Statesville.  Must have reliable transportation.
  • Part-Time Certified Nurse Aide covering Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm.  Position will serve the S. Mitchell Mack House in Mooresville

 

Registered Nurses

Candidates must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.  Home health/hospice and/or facility experience preferred. Competitive hourly rate is available for part time and PRN positions. A benefit package is available for all full time roles.  Two years experience as an RN preferred.  

Current Openings: 

  • Full-time Case Manager in our Homecare for the Mooresville area.  The schedule is Monday-Friday and the hours are 8a-5p.

Housekeeping

  • Part-time position in Housekeeping covering every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) serving the S. Mitchell Mack House in Mooresville.
  • Full-time position in Housekeeping covering Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday serving the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

 

Dietary

  • Full-time position in Dietary (30 hours) either Friday, Saturday, Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7:30am-5:30pm serving the S. Mitchell Mack House Hospice House in Mooresville.

 

Social Worker

  • Part-time position is available (20 hours/week) in our homecare department servicing Mooresville and Statesville areas as a social worker. Masters in Social Work is required.      2 years experience is preferred.

Marketing and Development Coordinator

  • Full-Time is position is available for development, planning and implementation of Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County's public support and fundraising programs.  The hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with some evenings and weekends required.  A bachelors in business, communications, marketing or realted field is required with proven experience in event planning, fundraising, social media coordination and Adobe Design Suite.

 

Palliative Care Triage Case Manager

  • Full-Time is position is available as a Triage Case Manager.  Duties include a range of clinical and administrative tasks including triaging patient and family calls, arranging for community resources as needed, coordinating home health and Durable Medical Equipment, and helping facilitate transition to hospice services.  Requirements include current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in NC by the NC Board of Nursing.
