The populations of the communities we serve continues to grow as does the need for quality hospice and palliative care clinical and administrative professionals.  As a result, HPCIC is always recruiting full-time, part-time and PRN staff. Specific positions will be updated here as they become available, but we encourage you to complete the application so that your information is on file in our office.

We keep our applications for employment for at least 12 months, and when positions are added or become open, we pull from our current applications first to fill those positions.

Nurse Practitioner:

Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County is recruiting for a full time Nurse Practitioner to provide care to patients with advanced life threatening/life limiting illnesses in Iredell County and surrounding areas.  Candidates should be caring, self directed, and comfortable with providing care in a variety of settings including homecare, nursing facilities and hospice inpatient units.

This position will primarily work with the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Team to provide hospice and palliative care in an outpatient setting under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer. Responsibilities include pain and symptom management, education, and counseling for patients and families regarding disease progression and prognosis, completion of Advanced Care Directives and serving as an educational resource both within the organization and outside community.  Competitive benefit pacakge is available.  Two years as a nurse practitioner with experience in oncology and family practice is ideal, experience in hospice and palliative care preferred.

 

Assistant Director of Inpatient Units:

A full-time position is available in our inpatient facilities as an Assistant Director.  This role is responsible for assisting the Director with day to day operations, staffing, management and coordination of the inpatient units.  Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing with a preferred BSN and two years of experience providing direct patient care OR graduation from an approved school of professional nursing and four years of experience providing direct patient care with one year of in home nursing is required.  Certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse is preferred.  Supervisory experience is required, preferably in a health care setting.

Social Worker:

  • We are currently seeking a full time social worker to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, particularly in a hospice or end of life setting. Responsibilities include providing emotional support to patients and their families, helping them to navigate the challenges of terminal illness, and connecting them with community resources. Qualifications include Master's degree in social work, current state social work license, experience in hospice or end of life care, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • We are currently seeking a PRN social worker to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, particularly in a hospice or end of life setting. Responsibilities include providing emotional support to patients and their families, helping them to navigate the challenges of terminal illness, and connecting them with community resources.  The PRN social worker will work on an as needed basis, filling in for full time staff during vacations, sick days or busy periods.  Qualifications include Master's degree in social work, current state social work license, experience in hospice or end of life care, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

 

Certified Nursing Assistants:

Candidates must hold a current license as a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) in the state of North Carolina.  Home health/hospice and/or facility experience preferred.  Two years of CNA experience preferred.   Competitive hourly rate is available and a full-time benefit package is available for all full time roles.

    CNA Homecare Openings: 

  • Full time Certified Nurse Aide (40 hours) float position covering homecare patients in Statesville and Mooresville. The schedule is Monday-Friday and the hours are 8a-5p with holiday rotation required.
  • PRN Certified Nurse Aide (As Needed). Position will serve the Homecare patients in Statesville and Mooresville.

   

     CNA Inpatient Unit Openings:

  • 2 Full-time Certified Nurse Aide positions- 36 hours weekly (8p-8a)
  • Part-time Certified Nurse Aide position- 24 hours weekly. (8p-8a)
  • Full-time Certified Nurse Assistant position- 36 hours per week (8a-8p)
  • Part-time Certified Nurse Assistant position- 24 hours per week (8a-8p)
  • PRN Certified Nurse Aide (As needed).

 

Registered Nurses:

Candidates must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.  Home health/hospice and/or facility experience preferred. Competitive hourly rate is available for part time and PRN positions. A benefit package is available for all full time roles.  Two years experience as an RN preferred.

      RN Homecare Openings: 

  • Full-time Case Manager for Homecare and Facilities covering Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.  Shared on-call and Holiday rotation required. (Mooresville area)
  • Full-time Case Manager for Homecare and Facilities covering Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.  Shared on-call and Holiday rotation required. (Statesville area)

     RN Inpatient Unit Openings:

  • 4 Full-time RN positions available in our inpatient units covering 36 hours/week 8am-8pm rotating every other weekend.
  • Part-time RN position available in our inpatient unit covering 1-2 days 8am-8pm. 

 

Chaplain:

  • A PRN position is available in our Chaplain Bereavement Service Department.  The position is based in the Statesville Administrative office and will cover our service area.  The position will serve as chaplain/bereavement support for homecare. in-patient and palliative care and will cover when full time staff are off for vacations, sick days and/or holidays.  Masters of Divinity or Masters in Pastoral Counseling required with at least 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education. (CPE)  Experience as a chaplain and bereavement counselor preferred with training in end-of-life care and grief counseling. Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains or eligible to be certified is also preferred.

Housekeeper:

  • Full-time Float Housekeeper needed for Mooresville and Statesville facilities.
