Welcome New 2025 Board of Directors Members

We are proud to announce that Kristie Barazsu, Pam Britt, and Ray Englebert have joined our Board of Directors!

Kristie Barazsu is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital operations, patient flow, and support services. In April 2025, she was appointed President and COO of Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital after serving in the interim role during the transition of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center into Duke Health, with the completion of the hospital acquisition April 1, 2025.

Kristie most recently served as the associate chief operating officer at Duke University Hospital, overseeing Emergency Services, Patient Flow, and Support Services, including a Level 1 trauma center and Life Flight operations. She has a proven track record of driving operational efficiency, reducing labor costs, and enhancing patient care delivery. Her leadership has led to multimillion-dollar savings, improved patient throughput, and system-wide adoption of innovative operational structures. She has also played a pivotal role in pandemic response and hospital integration efforts.

Prior to Duke, Kristie held several leadership roles at Michigan Medicine, including Surgical Services Administrator and Psychiatry Hospital Services Administrator. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Management from Albion College and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University.

Kristie enjoys living in Mooresville and walking her dog, Bentley.

Pam Britt is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Energy United. She leads the development and execution of the cooperative’s human resources strategy, ensuring alignment with the business plan and strategic direction. Pam partners with the Executive Team to ensure that programs, budgets, and practices enhance the employee experience and help deliver excellent service to members.

Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Pam holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management and a Master’s in Business Administration.

Pam brings over 25 years of HR experience with a reputation for building productive partnerships with executives and organizational leaders. She has led comprehensive HR programs, services and functions, strengthening staff development.

Pam lives in Statesville and has two daughters. She is active in the Society for Human Resource Management, United Way, Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross.

Ray Englebert is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in downtown Statesville, North Carolina. Ray brings clients more than 25 years of experience with most of that time spent as a trust officer within the Private Bank of two major banks. While Ray was born, raised and lives in Statesville, his circle of clients has grown to include business owners and their families, younger couples accumulating wealth, individuals about to retire and others he’s helped through retirement – residing locally and across the U.S.

In 2000, Ray launched his financial services career at Bank of America and moved to Wachovia/Wells Fargo four years later where he served as a trust officer for 14 years. He also spent three years as Director of Planned and Major Giving at Mars Hill University. Ray holds a bachelor’s degree from Campbell University in Trust & Wealth Management. Ray and his wife, Katherine, have three daughters and enjoy hiking, camping and any activity that brings them together. A big college basketball fan, Ray is generous with his time – volunteering with the Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, Boys & Girls Club of the Piedmont, United Way of Iredell County, Rescue Ranch, and Council on Aging (Meals on Wheels). He is also a member of Rotary Club of Statesville.
