Rainbow Kidz Grief Counselor – Part-Time
We are seeking a Rainbow Kidz Grief Counselor to join our team. This is a part-time role (1 day/week) and requires schedule flexibility. In this role, you’ll facilitate grief support groups, assist with all Rainbow Kidz events, provide one-on-one counseling for children and parents, administer pre and post group surveys, complete data collection and reporting in accordance with licensing guidelines, and complete all required training as part of ongoing education.

PRN Hospice & Palliative Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a compassionate and flexible PRN Nurse Practitioner to support our hospice and palliative care services across multiple locations based on organizational need. This role may include hospice and palliative home visits, rounding in our Inpatient Unit (IPU), and providing palliative care consults at our local hospital. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable to a variety of care settings, and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Weekend In-Patient Unit Assistant Director
The Weekend In-Patient Unit Assistant Director assists in the management and coordination of the In-Patient Units (IPUs), providing operational and clinical leadership during weekend coverage. Responsibilities include ensuring consistent leadership presence, assisting with supervision on the in-patient unit staff, overseeing staffing coordination, supporting clinical operations, promoting effective communication among team members, and maintaining continuity and quality of patient care.

Grief/Bereavement Support Specialist
We are seeking a Grief/Bereavement Support Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time role (40 hours) and requires schedule flexibility for occasional weekend/evening coverage. In this role, you’ll provide bereavement and group support to hospice families, manage an assigned caseload of bereaved families following patient deaths, determine the appropriate level of bereavement care according to individual preference, provide information on grief programs offered, complete data collection and reporting in accordance with licensing guidelines, and facilitate education and training for staff and volunteers.

We are seeking an In-Patient Social Worker to join our team! This is a full-time (40-hour), weekday position at both our Gordon Hospice House (Statesville) and our S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House (Mooresville). In this role you will provide emotional, social, and practical support to patients and families throughout the hospice journey, helping them navigate end-of-life care and connect with appropriate resources. Supervision may be provided for LCSW-A candidates as a part of the role.

Housekeeping/Dietary
We are seeking multiple Housekeeping/Dietary Staff to join our team at our Brown Family Grief Center (Statesville), Gordon Hospice House (Statesville), and our S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House (Mooresville). These are full-time roles (40 hours). These positions are responsible for daily common space cleaning/sanitizing, deep cleaning of patient rooms, weekly cleaning of the administrative spaces and bereavement center as well as daily meal preparation for patients and families.

HPCIC is always recruiting full-time, part-time and PRN staff. Specific positions will be updated as they become available, but we encourage you to complete the application so that your information is on file in our office.
We keep our applications for employment for at least 12 months, and when positions are added or become open, we pull from our current applications first to fill those positions.
