Community and Professional Education
At Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, we are committed to giving back to the community that supports us so generously.  We welcome invitations to educate people about our services and the many ways we help those at the end of life. We invite your call to schedule a program, workshop, or to receive materials about hospice and end-of-life care

A number of program topics are available, from talks on hospice care in general, to more specific offerings such as Grief & Loss, End-of-Life Care, Advanced Care Planning (Living Wills & Healthcare Power of Attorney). A highlight of these programs is an eight-minute video produced for Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County by Pat Summerall Productions. The video introduces your group to patients and their family members, physicians, and several hospice staff. It eloquently portrays why hospice care is so incredibly special.

For community healthcare professionals, Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County offers specific training sessions on pain & symptom management, death & dying, working with families of those with life-limiting illness and other topics that might be helpful.

If you are seeking information about any hospice-related topic, please visit our Resources Links page, where a number of resources on end-of-life care and hospice and palliative care are available.

The Community Outreach / Speaker’s Bureau at Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County is eager to bring special programs to churches, civic groups, and community organizations at no cost. To schedule a talk or presentation for your group, please contact Patrice Reynolds at 704-873-4719 x 4312, or e-mail her at patricer@hoic.org.
