Camp Rainbow offers grieving children a safe and structured environment that combines therapeutic interventions with fun activities. During camp, children have group counseling sessions, art therapy, equine and canine therapy, music, rock climbing, swimming, and more. Camp is held in two four-day sessions and each concludes with a memorial service attended by both the children and their caregivers. Parents also have the option to attend a group grief counseling session with a bereavement counselor during the week. The interventions and activities offered at camp are designed to teach healthy coping skills and promote lasting bonds between the children. As one camper said, “It helps knowing other hearts are hurting like mine.
