Gordon Hospice House

For patients whose end-of-life care needs cannot be effectively addressed in the home, the Gordon Hospice House offers comfort, compassion and care when it matters most.

State licensed and accredited, the nine-bed Gordon Hospice House provides residential and acute care around the clock in a warm, inviting and homelike environment that puts patients and their families at ease.

The Gordon Hospice House is ideally suited to meet the needs of patients who either do not have a caregiver available in the home or who require more complex treatment than the family caregiver can manage at home.

In addition, patients who have been hospitalized and whose care needs are too acute for home-based care can be transferred to the Gordon Hospice House, allowing them to be released from the hospital environment sooner than would otherwise be possible.

A Home Away from Home

Located on a tranquil six-acre site in Statesville, the Gordon Hospice House is a state-of-the-art facility that is designed to promote the comfort of our patients and their families, with features including:

• Spacious, tastefully appointed patient suites with accommodations for overnight visitors
• High-speed Internet access in each patient room
• Common areas for family gatherings
• Screened and open-air porches
• Indoor meditation rooms and an outdoor meditation garden with a rock labyrinth
• Two family rooms
• A children's room with games, toys and movies for younger visitors
• A beauty station offering manicures, pedicures and haircuts
